Scott's Successful Bow Hunt 2011

Scott was so excited to get his first deer with a bow this year. He left early in the morning at about 5:00 a.m. He decided to go up Provo Canyon and stay close to home. As he was driving up the mountain a truck stopped in front of Him, he could not figure out what he was stopping for till he saw 5 Bucks crossing in front of his truck. It was not quite light enough yet to shoot so he watched them go up the mountain a bit. Light hit and he saw exactly where they were all hiding. he got out to go see them and one stepped out and looked right at him so he took the shot. he was killed instantly. We are looking forward to getting the jerky we eat all year.

We stayed at my parents condo time share, and did alot of fun things. these are part one of my pics. We also went horseback riding too. Ill get to those in a bit.

Have I dropped off the face of the Earth? I am sure some of you are probably thinking that I have.
between work, kids, more work and play, I think I forgot that I even had a blog I was suppose to be writing in.
It is competition time around our house which means Dance competitions almost every weekend till the end of May. It has also been dance picture season which took up all my March. Every time I do a shoot I get so excited and this years dance pictures were so much fun. I was thrilled that Denna allowed me to not only do competition teams this year but the entire studio.
The girls have been getting ready for the summer dance workshop they do every year. Word must have spread about how fun it was last year because they have a ton of sign ups.
If you missed it last year, Denna had them come do the number they choreographed for the youngest hip hop group at the studio and that group will be performing it at the recital this spring.

life's little lessons Learned ( getting honest with myself)

Most of us are aware that we are put here on earth to be tested, if this life is a test than I fear greatly that I am flunking out. We are being tested on how we interact with others, what kind of people we are, how good of parents we are, the service we do for others and the list goes on. Am I making the grade? Maybe a D+ at that.
Interaction with others-hmmm I think I am nice to everyone. At least I try to be. I Genuinely want to be friends with everyone and I absolutely hate it if someone does not like me....which I am sure there are a few. I know I have a strong personality.And when I find a great friend they are always one for life. It is what makes me ..well me. This was not always the case. There was a time I would never speak my mind and now my mind pays way to many visits to my mouth. Does that mean I am getting old? I was told to stop letting people walk all over me and bam! Mind to mouth happens. It is not intended to offend only release the 20 million thoughts that I need to release to make my mind a happy healthy place to live. My husband is always telling me don't say that or you crossed the line. When I think to myself " I did not think what I just wrote or said was bad." So lesson learned- Everyone interprets things differently so be careful what you say.
what kind of a person am I?- I think I am kind, giving,over achieving & friendly person. But I am also loud, unforgiving at times, take way too much offense to things,self criticizing and can be very short with my family because my plate is so full. Which list is bigger the good or the bad? I am sure I left a lot out. What kills me is we all have the good the bad and the ugly, so why is it that some people think they are better than others? Why because I live here and not there am I not worth taking the time to get to know?It was like a light bulb moment for me. I have been teaching my children that they must be liked, they must have lots of friends, when in all actuality WHO Cares!!! Who cares if the girl with the cutest clothes likes them, who cares if someone does not want to play with them at recess. NO One person is better than another. This is what I should have been teaching them as their parent. Yes I have taught them we be kind to everyone no matter what, but I was also forcing them to be someone i thought they should be perfect,popular, kind,giving. I never stopped to think they might have a few things on that not so perfect side too. My girls are sweet, they are honest with me- even when they don't want to be, they have darling personalities and I don't care who likes them, all I care about is if they are being who they truly are and if that person is a good person than they will draw in the right friends, they will have self pride and they will be better rounded individuals.I love all there friends. I think I got off track on teaching them the importance of treating everyone with respect even though I believe they do. So lesson learned- Let your kids be who they are, teach them a righteous way to live and don't expect them to be any better than we are.
I really try to be a good parent, I try to teach them right from wrong but I also am not always the greatest example to them, If a girlfriend calls to gossip I am quick to want to listen, but yet my words to them are never gossip about anyone it gets you into trouble. So why do we as humans love to hear it, why do we find it necessary?I don't want gossip to be a part of my life. So I too am like a child needing to hear it once in a while. I have found myself telling my girls to say little white lies if it protects them, till my daughter says no mom I cant say that that would be lying....ok slap in face parenting job- FAIL! Or having my kids come to me with exciting news from their day and I say I am working I will talk to you in a bit. Do you think that news will be as exciting to them when I am ready? You all are going to read this and think what kind of Mother is she? I do good things too. I am very supportive of them, I give them and show them love daily, and do teach them gospel principals...so don't hate me fully. Lesson learned- they are always watching, always wanting your acceptance and always wanting your attention and you know what they deserve it! We only have our kids with us for a short while.
Service- Aren't I covered if I offer a free photoshoot a year or make a family dinner in the ward maybe twice a year, Aren't I covered if I have put more hours in for the school PTA than what I have time for? Answer- NO! When Is the last time I did something nice for someone just to do it, when is the last time I went to ward service day and cancelled my work, whens the last time I went visiting teaching? Please don't answer that Melissa!This is one area I know I need to work on. I pray every night.. and please let me be of service today. How many promptings am I missing? Lesson learned- serve others your children will than learn of it's importance and be more willing to serve. Even if it is cleaning there room, I will takie it!

So i have babbled and I am not sure if anyone actually made it through this entire post but I needed this. To get real with myself. I hate fake! I hate it when people pretend to be one way and than are the other. I am who I am good, bad and ugly. My girls are who they are and I am going to accept them no matter what.I tell them if you want to have people be nice to you than you need to be nice yourself. And I plan on taking my own advice.I plan on being a little nicer to my family.After all they deserve the best of me.they are who I will spend eternity with. And I am not going to worry anymore about what others think of me or my family because We are all human and none of us are better than anyone else. Scott will be glad to hear that because what others think of me has consumed my thoughts. So what if someone doesn't come back to me to do their hair, there are others that do still come, who cares if people do not like my photography... I love it! And who cares if they think We don't dress high fashion. We pay to live day by day and give our children the necessities in life. who cares if all the group of ladies exclude me from a conversation, I have fabulous friends who I love to chat with and we have great phone and laughs together. And that is getting Honest with myself.

Mental anxiety in children ( venting my thoughts)

Our family has been dealing with some very tough issues lately. Not only do I have anxiety and have had it for Years, I have noticed some of the same tendancies in my girls for the last year or so. It was not till the last month or so that it became apparent that it has taken over their lives. One of the girls is currently having to see a therapist and we are not making too much progress.Hours of crying at nights and trying to relieve some stress. What makes it worse are the girls at school that cause so much trouble for them it is rediculous. I have a few that talk to me so disrespectfully on facebook etc. that it makes me wonder how they talk to their own parents
If there getting along its all good but the minute they fight the entire 5th grade is put against... you guessed it them. A set of twin boys actually threw grapes at them in the cafeteria while the other girls just laughed. It seriously reminds me of the movie Mean girls with Lindsey Lohan. I just keep telling the girls you be the Nice popular not the bratty ones.They tell me if your nice around those girls you will never be popular. This is 5th grade!!! What the?????? Who cares? They are so stinkin cute they do not need any of that.
There is much stress over school and school work. My girls have always been at the very top of the class coming home with straight 4's which is above grade level. One is now 2's and three's..which is not bad mind you, but I have seen how it is affecting their school work.One doesn't even think she is smart anymore because she blacks out in math.
So the question is what do I do as a mother? I cannot home school I am not smart enough .lol. I do not want to teach my kids to escape their problems either. We will continue to seek therapy. i am done talking to other kids parents it gets us nowhere and I hate confrontations they actually give me anxiety. Prayer has been what I am turning too.
It is so hard to see your children suffer. It is so hard to think I may have caused a lot of their fears and anxieties as well. While Scott was working in Nevada for two years I would lock us all in my room and put a chair behind the door. This was my anxiety coming through. What did that teach my children at such a young age? to be afraid of the world. I hate it that I did that! I have since learned how to control my anxiety and fear holds no place currently for me, but my sweet girls have it and it is ripping our hearts into pieces for them.
To hear a child say "I hate the world it is evil" , " why do we even have to have school or why do we even need friends?", " I wish I could just die and never have these problems", these words should never be heard from an 11 year old. I really hope therapy works and I more than hope that parents teach their children to love one another.I know kids will be kids and kids are cruel, But there has got to be something wrong with todays society for it to start so young. I never ever remember elementary school being a stressful time in my life as it has been for my children.
What kills me is that my girls have so much going for them and they do not even see it anymore. Thank goodness we do have the few dance teachers, school teachers and us of course Scott and I to remind them of their self worth or I am afraid what the consequences may be. Especially when they say they would rather be dead.
I always thought those girls would have it easy. Everyone seemed to like them where ever they went. Until this last year.It reminds me of a rumor started about me in High school that ruined one year of it for me. But that was 11th grade not grade school.
So i will continue on this road of seeking after the Lords help in knowing what is the right thing to do. Nothing is more important to me than the mental health of my family.

Holiday pounds

o.k I thought I was going into the holidays motivated to not over eat since I just recieved my lifetime weight watcher award last week. So what did I do? I ate more than I ever have in my life this week. Especially chocolate. UGGG Im so dissapointed in myself. Well 2 extra pounds later in one week is my new motivation.

this morning at about 3:00 a.m I was awoken by Scott who scared me to death,because I saw was this man standing over me. He said he needed the camera right away because the Provo Tabernacle was on fire. I tired and grumpily got up and got him the camera. If I would have known the seriousness I think I would have gone with him. He was working his shift at nights and got amazing photographs of the horribly devestating fire that has Provo in shock and in tears.

In fact Fox 13 news displayed all his photos ( processed by me of course) on the noon news. There are so many so if you want to see them all I suggest you check out my facebook page. But here are a few of the devestating Photos.

I spent the last three days running the winter workshop for school. it is so much work but so rewarding to see all the excited kids buying their family gifts for Christmas. Even if most of them are buying for themselves. I even had one kids tell me when i told him to go look at the tables for mom & Dad so he could buy them a gift " why the hell would I want to spend my money on that?" Aww what a true Holiday spirit.
I really wish our school would be more opt to volunteer to help with PTA things. it is always so hard to find people to help, which puts the burden on two of us.

It seems like just yesterday I had this little guy. It was another rough road to get him here, but the excitement of his arrival surely made up for it after waiting a long 9 years to get him.
We love out little Crew so much. He may be a little devil sometimes but he has so much personality, we laugh at him daily. Crew is hilarious. I should have a video camera on him all day long.
We made him our traditional breakfast in bed and gave him a ferw gifts wrapped in pink bags.(Laugh out loud).

dance for 2011

Well the year has started. The girls decided to try out at a different studio this year for a little change. Tryouts went good and they made the two top spots at the dance studio during auditions. I was a little nervous at this because I was afraid they would not grow But I have seen a huge change in their confidance level which has brought on amazing dance skills I did not even know they had. I am amazed every time I watch them dance. I am wishing I had big bucks to let them go somewhere like Center Stage since both want to excell in dance and even be dance teachers someday. For now they are happy have a ton of friends. Every day it seems a new friend from dance is over to play. Not sure how this year will play out or if it is a long term change at this point or just for the year, only they can decide that. But I want them to be progressing and pushed. Can that happen at the new studio? Not sure.
McKenzie is so excited for her solo this year and partly because Alexis ( who we all think is the best choereographer) is still going to teach her her solo. the girls miss her dearly. MaKayla wants a break this year from solos. it will be her first year not doing one since they were 4 yrs old.
McKenzie had her arial at the beginning of summer and I dont know what happened there but she is scared to death to do them again. growing maybe? Could be she is a couple inches taller than MaKayla now.
I hope you all will come to their recital in November. I have watched their dances and boy have these girls improved as far as facials and really getting into the dance. Cant wait to see what this year brings but I am still nervous.

Crew Bugs Surgery day!

Crew had a Herinia he had to have surgery on. it was not a fun day. And it hasn't been fun since. It has been a week and he hasn't broke his temperature of 102, 103 the whole week. I took him back to the dr and he had two ear infections. He has now been on antiobiotics for over 24 hours and still a high fever. I do not understand it. the poor kid is miserable. On top of all this McKenzie has been in bed for over a week with a flu,cold thing that MaKayla & I just got over, but for some reason she is not getting better either. I have always tried not to be a person that trys not to says why me but it has been so hard lately not to say it.

sadley enough the girls have decided to switch dance studio's for the upcoming year. It is a bitter sweet decision on their part. Bitter because it is hard to leave a good friends studio that has taught them since they did their first duo at age 4.They have been very unhappy & wanted to quit dance do to older girls belittling comments to them. They asked if they could go to a studio where they have a few friends that dance.
Scott of course is liking the decision because it will save him a ton of money especially now that we had to pay for his dads entire funeral since his dad lost everything in he bad economy. So what is the sweet part you ask? I havn't seen my girls so excited about dance since they were 5 yrs. old. They love their summer class and have learned a lot of new things. I of course am extatic that for the first time since they were 7 they get Tumbling again. Kenzie about has her Ariel.In fact she does she just gets nervous.
I truly hope the girls have made a right decision.We will miss Alexis & her no doubt about it best cheoreography ever.But To see my girl this happy makes it worth it all. It will be good financially on us as well. They will finish with FCDA of a July performance. We do not know if we will stay at the new studio but they really want the chance for a change. And since it is not about what we want we have decided to let them make the decision.It has caused me much stress but they are like two girls taking dance for the first time again.

We will Miss you Alexis unless they decide to switch back.

So by now you all know I have lost 23 pounds on weight watchers. I still have more to loose but I just completed my first 5 k. I never thought I could do one. I speed walked because of my knees. I did 3.1 miles in 40 minutes pushing Crew in a stroller. that was good for me. The whole family did it with me for support. MaKayla beat us all because she ran. She beat me by 5 minutes. And I beat Scott & McKenzie by 15 minutes. It was a good tension release for our family. After the past week.

My Sweet father in law past away today. There has been many tears for many days at our house ,and at the hospital. Saturday night my entire family had a sleepover in his room and were able to spend his last moments here on Earth with him, Even though he was not responsive. It has been so tough on my poor sweet husband who was as close to his dad as any son can be. Poor McKenzie cryed constantly, So much that she cryed herself to sleep holding his hand. It was hard to see him so weak and frail. At about 3:00 this afternoon the hospice told us what we already knew, The oxygen was no longer doing any good and it was time to let him go. I exited my girls out of the room, they proceeded to turn off the oxygen, within one minute he was gone.

He is not gone forever. He is in our hearts and we will see him someday again. Right now he is having a happy reunion with the loved ones he has lost and the Heavens are rejoicing to have such a great man back with them again.We love you Richard and will miss you dearly till we meet again.

We just found out that Scott's Dad Richard has days if not a few weeks to live. he has emphazima very bad in his lungs. Scott is very upset as expected as well as the rest of the family. Please keep them in your prayers. Richard we love you and will miss you dearly.I am still hoping for a miracle but they say not happening.
We also found out yesterday that Crew will most likely need surgery as he has a Hurnia ( Not sure if that is how you spell it.) right above his belly button. It is big and we are seeing a surgeon on Thursday.

Yard & Bake sale this friday & Saturday

we are having a yard/bake sale this Friday from 3:30-7 and Sat. (weather permitting) from 8- 3) the kids are doing the bake sale to earn money fro an upcoming trip so please come support them. they have yummy stuff, Chocolate chip cookies, Peanut butter cookies, brownies, popcorn, Mini chocolate cakes decorated by MaKayla and bananna bread, plus drinks.
We have a ton of baby stuff boy & girl as well as older girl clothing, changing table, high chair, toy packs, games, snowmobile,digital scrapbook stuff and more.

mommy daughter date & my poor father in law

So it has been a busy week as usual. Always so much going on,so many places to go, so much work to do, But after getting a letter on my bed from MaKayla asking when we could do a mommy daughter date with just me & her, I decided it was time to slow down and take a moment to spend with her. I planned on just the two of us and McKenzie didn't like the fact that she didnt go first, so what did we do? Well the whole family went to Sub Zero Ice-cream (Highly reccomend it) and MaKayla & I sat at a table way away from everyone else. Yes there were the occasional screams of Crew saying MAAA...MAAA. I would have to wave and re assure him i was still there.
MaKayla & I had a lovely chat about life, boys (yes she has a boyfriend and I'm not sure how I feel about that), and how she thinks things are running around the house. The best thing about doing it this way was after about 15 minutes we switched and I got to talk with McKenzie. It was a fun little event.
On a sadder note. my father in law has been in the hospital for a few days now and it is not looking good. There has been many tears shed at our house. So please keep him and Scott in your prayers becuase Scott is having a rough time. It started with him falling and breaking his hip, sugery, than he fell and broke his ribs, than he had a stomache infection and refused to go to the hospital, that is until Scott & his brother forced him. They have found a growth in his stomache. he has gone dilirious from meds adn low sodium. We just hope all will work out according to the Lords plan and everyone will be able to accept whatever comes next for Richard, we love you dad and hope you will get better soon.

the million dollar mom {mother's day}

So I am always telling Scott that he should pay me a million dollars for all I do around the house. Especially if he ever brings up that he pays for the house. This mother's day he was really thoughtful. I have been wanting some of these pine trees for photography props for my woodland & fairy scenes, so he got me some. When he told the lady he was giving me these for Mothers day and making a money tree out of it she sent him with one Mothers day money bill. he took them and had them printed off and they all hung them with real money from the trees. It was darling. I got beautiful homemade cards and pinecones as accents.
Than after church we had our traditional extended family mothers day meal at Golden Corral.

weight watchers my new best friend

So I went from being a blogging fanatic to once every two weeks post person.But it doesnt look like I have too many readers anymore anyway.lol. I am just loving weight watchers after 15 weeks I have lost 21 pounds and finally know how to eat. Was i ever a huge over eater? I do not think so.Did I eat lots of sweets? Not really they werent my weekness. but I was eating too much of the wrong things.
I acually know how to order out now. that is a first for me. i know how to be strong at family parties without feeling deprived.I feel all around better about the choices I make and me as a person. i am so glad I joined and cant wait to be a lifetime member.
Ill post pictures of me when I have time. Silly isn't it, here I am a photographer but cant find the time to take a pic of me. Soon I promise, really soon.

I was so proud of my girls. They danced so great this weekend at competition. They got a high Gold with a score of 96. They were so in sync it was scary.They did a duo to none other than their favorite singer Michael Jackson.

I feel so bad. Monday was my 13 wedding anniversary and I didn't get Scott a single thing. I thought about it. I knew I didn't have money so I was going to make a card and didn't get around to it. Not to mention Monday was a horrible day for me so my thoughts were pre occupied. He came home that morning with some flowers (soaking in a mcdonalds cup i might add) that was funny.It was very thoughtful.
Well Scott I do love & Appreciate you and though I did not get you anything you are always on my mind, in my prayers and in my heart. happy anniversary,

Valentine's Day at the Christiansen house

I have always tried to make Valentines day a special time for my family. Since we didn't have a lot of time or money this year, I had to think of something I could do fast. We had early morning church at 9:00 a.m and I am not a morning person. For Scott, since he works nights I put a heart on the outside door saying you will find the reasons I love you inside. I then put hearts up all around the house with different reasons why I loved him.

For the girls and Crew I put special heart name plates on their chairs.I had hearts laying all around the table, poored them there favorite colorful cereal (fruit Loops) And instead of milk I did strawberry milk. Then I made heart shaped toast with jam. Crew loves dryed yogurt chips and m&ms so I lined them in a heart shape on his high chair to eat. (don't worry he had a nutritous breakfast too)

I always give them a little something on the couch too. I gave the girls heart necklaces to wear at school that i got at a boutique, but still had a book I made them all about their 4th grade ski trip,some candy and personalized pen. Crew got the tiger below,He was loving it at the store a few weeks earlier. Scott got some reese's peanut butter cups,his favorite. The girls made us darling v-day cards too.

Then I took a short nap while crew was napping after church and woke up to this on my wall.(courtesy of M&M)

They had streamers hanging from everywhere. They also hung little v-day hearts everywhere with candy heart sayings on them.

All in all it was a fun day for us as a family. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family. I love them dearly. I also love all my friends, thank you for being my friend!

If you havn't heard on the news or by word of mouth the tremendous miraculous story of Matt & Sara Staker & there cutest ever little boy Bronson by now you should go check out her blog. it is on my friend links below. or http://stakerzxposed.blogspot.com/ .
Sara had Bronson around the same time I had Crew. I remember blogging back & forth our pregnancy woes. Her family is so kind and loving. Heavenly father is looking out for them and our prayers are with them. Love you guys. And I am so happy to see that smiling little boy on your blog.
I have been so busy that my blog is getting neglected. Those who use to visit frequently probably do not do to my lacking of new imfo. lol.
The Stakers experience has brought back into perspective for me about just how precious life is. It brings tears to my eyes to think of having to see Crew or any of my other kids in that situation. As a mother I think I might have just died right there. thanks to Sara I had a reality check. I will spend a little more awareness as to what my children are doing. Spend a little less time a day editing my photoshoots.
I am going to try and post some cute pics later of the girls all ready and decked oput for their school Valentine's party.

A new year ....A new me!

Well I did it! I joined Weight watchers...Finally. I can't wait to get this new year started off right. First off I hope the new year brings better health to my family. Not looking good so far as I have had the worse sinus cold of my life lasting three weeks now. mcKenzie started coming down with it last nighht. but I have high hopes.
I can't wait to get skinny and have the old Danielle that everyone knew & Loved back ( well, I hope loved :) )Scott is even doing it with me. We seem to be off to a good start especially since Scott would always talk me into going out to eat.
I will be 36 this week..which is depressing but if I could get back to my size 3 it would be the best year ever.

Christmas and bringing in the New Year.

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic Holiday with your family and friends. I am actually always so relieved when it is all over and life can get back to just normal busy instead of caotic! We had a great Christmas at our house and were able to spend time with my brother visiting from Texas as well. He had a photo shoot with me while he was here to so check out my photography site or blog to see those. We did a big family picture done too.

We brought in the new year with a bang. We were sorry to miss our good friends the Barney's usual new years party, but since we had family in town felt we should spend it with family. Except Scott of course who had to work all night. We went to my paren

ts where we do traditional New years eve snack all night till you get sick. We watched some movies and relaxed. Once the new year hit we had sparkling cyder and the girls and Grandma went outside and banged on pots and pans. Crew fell asleep at 11:30.

Our family has a lot of fun family holiday traditions. One of which i posted earlier about decorating the tree on Thanksgiving,another is we decorate the outside of our house with lights ( I will have to post a picture of that later), we also drive around and look at others lights; Haslems and Stoddards house always is a favorite in the neighborhood. This weeks family activity was to decorate a gingerbread house; only we decided to do a train.

Festival of trees

we headed down to the festival of trees today for the girls dance performance. They did such a great job and i as usual took too many pictures. Sadly this is only a few of them. We didn't end up staying too long because Scott was running on only two hours sleep from his night job. we did roam a little bit and saw some beautifully decorated trees among other things.

The girls were VERY dissapointed there was not a Michael Jackson tribute tree, they had all intentions of buying it if there was one. With what money i do not know.

I always love the amazing gingerbread houses.

I cannot believe it has already been a year. This little guy has brought so much love and happiness into our home. i cannot imagine our lives without him. happy Birthday our sweet little Crew!

What a nightmare photoshoot this was. Usually Crew is great for pictures but he was absolutely terrified of his cake, crying and wouldn't get near it. Finally after an hour and a half of trying to get something. I got mad and threw a spoon at the cake. Suprisingly that is all it took he loved it then. Started waking at it. I ended up getting a few shots but it definately was not what I had pictured in my head. I dont think he even liked the taste of it.
His birthday isn't until September 23rd but I wanted to display his picture at his little party.

so last week Scott cut his finger with a saw building our new playhouse and shed. He really must be tired because as a contractor he hasn't done that his whole life. Anyway it required stitches.

A birthday at our house always starts with breakfast in bed. the girls request...Cinnamon rolls, eggs and strawberry milk.

These were their presents. they received them early though for our Vegas trip.

first we took them to Chuck- e cheese to use their free birthday token coupon. (We do not eat there). Then we went to Mcdonalds. The girls love their cheesburger & fries ( we should not eat there either). And they played on their play place even though they were too big ( surprising I know considering how small they are for their age. They love the American Fork playland so that is where we went on the way to my moms.

Since it was Labor day, the whole family joined together to celebrate the girls birthday at my moms house. Where we swam, had the girls birthday request dinner and cake.

It seems like just yesterday I got the news that I was having twins, that I had that 3 month long hospital stay to get them here on earth. It seems like just yesterday They were toddlers. Smiling & laughing at each other in their cribs.
It seems like just yesterday I was giving them baths, kissing their boo boos and doing their hair.
It seems like just yesterday I was dropping them off to Kindergarten swearing I wouldn't ever cry ..that is dumb...but bawling the whole way home.
It seems like just yesterday they were getting baptized and seeming so grown up.
Yet here it is today. September 7th 10 years later, and I can't believe I am the mother of 10 year olds. Double digits! They bring us so much joy and happiness. I cannot imagine my life without them. Happy Birthday girls Mom and Dad and little Crew love you very much!

MCKENZIE:

What a sweet girl. If anyone where to pick a perfect friend, it would be her. She is so sweet and worries about others and their feelings. She is loving and kind. She is really smart at the top of her class. McKenzie has such creativity. She designs her own digital scrapbooking kits. It amazes me how much she knows. She is an incredible dancer since she was 2 years old. I love to watch her perform.

We love you McKenzie and our family would not be complete without you in it. Happy Birthday sweertheart!

What can I say..she is quite the character, Such spunk, such personality. She always keeps us and others laughing with her crazy personality. Park City & Salem days

Scott and I decided to surprise the girls and get away for a night and go to park City. they had no idea where we were going. When we got up there we went to the outlets to get mcKenzie some school shoes since she is so picky. We ended up getting two pairs of Sketchers for $30 What a steal! Then we drove to the Hotel we were staying at. They said "what are we doing hear?" I said " swimming....(McKenzie)we didn't bring our suits. (me) I packed them in the car. (MaKayla) Why are we swimming at a hotel? (me) because we are staying here tonight. And then came the screams of excitemet. We love this Hotel we always stay at. They have poolside rooms, a pool table and ping pong. It was great fun!

Where did the summer go? Can anyone go find it for me and bring it back? I cannot believe how fast it is going.
I have been super busy doing newborn and family photoshoots. Check out my site to see lots of new pictures.It has been a blast. Plus hair, plus digital scrapbook designing, playing with kids, painting my basement, Loving my little guy, taking weekday trips( since Scott works weekends). , Eating ( way too much I might add).
We had fun on the 24th at our friends the Barney's. Mapleton fireworks ROCK! Thanks guys!
Crew crawls everwhere and I swear is the cutest thing in the whole world. He is so smiley!
The girls have enjoyed having their very first summer off from dance since they were 3... But are ready to go back. Oh and they are obsessed with Michael Jackson now! They have too watch the thriller, bad and billie Jean videos at least once a week. Friends have been here they have been there.
It really feels like summer...except.... I missed my boat this year. We didn't take it out once!

Vegas or Bust

I would be here all day posting all the pictures to our recent trip to Mesquite and Vegas. The girls both got digital cameras as an early b-day present and took a ton of pictures. No one will believe that I didn't even take one picture with my camera It stayed in the bag the whole trip. We had fun going to the shark reaf aquarium in vegas at mandalay bay, Visiting circus circus among the other hotels.
It was so hot! I do not know how people even stand it.
We also saw the new Harry Potter movie while we were there. Scott and I had to go back later that night to watch it again because Crew was fussy during ther movie.
We went bowling at the Virgin River Hotel, that was fun. it was a great little getaway. thanks Dad for treating us to eat. And Thank you Chad for the breakfast buffet. it was yummy.

4th of July and remembering Michael jackson

We spent the fourth at my parents this year. Since Scott works night now I did not want to hassle with the staium crowds by myself. i am not a patient driver so we went to my moms for a relaxing day. And after hearing how everyone was so dissapointed in the fireworks show at the Stadium this year ( Scott said it wasn't worth it) I am glad we did not go. We had a fun BBQ , games, hot tub and then a great fireworks show.
It was Crews first fireworks. he clapped and loved it for about 15 min. till he fell asleep.

The jets even flew right above my parents house. I never saw them that close even at the stadium. It was very cool. I wish I could have gotten a better picture but I was not expecting it and grabbed it and shot.

My brother Chad bought a ton of fireworks fo reveryone to watch. Thank you Chad!

REMEMBERING MICHAEL

I watched the Michael Jackson funeral yesterday and was still in shock of his death. I remember rushing home from school as a young girl because they were going to play the long version of thriler that day and I did bot want to miss it. I remember dressing up in a sparkly white glove and red jacket because I loved him so much! I had posters in my room.

After watching the funeral I realized how many wonderful things he did for everyone. it is shame he had to have so many plastic surgeries because I remember the time I thought he was IT!
I know he did not do the things the world accused him of. Who could writet We are the world and make the world a better place and do such things. So to Michael I say goodbye and thank you for the wonderful memories.

o.k So my daughters sat outside today in the hot sun for an hour and a half doing a punch & popcorn sale to try and earn money for an upcoming trip. Not ONE car stopped. What is wrong with people today. i stop for every little kid out there selling lemonade or whatever it is they are selling. how can we teach our future leaders the importance of hard work and earning their own money if we do not help them.
I was furious. i gave them each a dollar and told them I was sorry. I watched an Oprah a few years back and she said the same thing. She stops every time. it only takes a minute out of your day to make a little child smile. Come on people it is only a quarter. Really.

Today we had the daddy daughter BBQ for Achievment days. It was fun besides the weather. The girls all went in the hot tub. Dads were being shy.

Then we had a three legged race.. here are the cheaters... O.k so they went back and re did it but lifting is not aloud!!!!!

Then the dads that had two girls each went. One tied to each leg. Scott and the girls left the Moultons way behind!

BBQ with friends

We went this past weekend to One of my best friends house for a BBQ> Jen and I were roomates in college and have been dear friends ever since. They cooked us some great food and we had some good laughs. Isn't she darling!

I wanted to get a picture Of Jonah Jen's son and the girls. They have played together since they were teeny tiny. And of course every time I went to take a picture they would goof off no matter how much I begged.

And finally I get one where they are not goofing off and of course MaKayla is in the sun.

Swim lessons and hiding deer

NOT HAPPY TROOPERS.
So we showed up at swimming lessons today because they wrote the 16th on my card only to find out they started on Monday... that made me mad. Then the girls hated their swimming teacher Even Scott who usually says nothing commented that she was a natzi teacher. She thought it was like swimming boot camp. They were crying and carrying on about being sick. OK anyone that knows the girls knows they LOVE the water. They have looked forward to swimming lessons for weeks. You can see on their faces...Dad get me out of here.( Thanks Scott for taking pictures) I was unable since I was in the mommy tot class with Crew.
needless to say I switched their class they had to go down one level where there was a spot. Which did not matter to me since they are in the last level and know how to swim. i just wanted them to have fun. The manager said she has had other complaints..the problem is she is a swim coach for a swim team alot different than little kids. So we switched to the next time. WAALA they are happy and those belly aches magically went away. They love the new teacher. Seriously... arent swimming lessons about having fun too. SO All of us went double duty with lessons so i guess we made up for missing yesterday.

Crew has loved the water since day 1. He loves the bath and wants to stay and splash, so it was no suprise to me that he would love swimming lessons. too. Even though he was the youngest one in the group, he did really well. especially for going through 2 sessions in one day.

I think he is still practicing bubbles. He didn't quite get it, but then again he is only 8 mnths. old. I can't expect miracles

With the Deer hunt coming up, our family With the insistance of Scott go out on drives to see what we can see. We drove up Squaw peek. it was pretty. the girls goofed off as usual when we got to the lookout. We did see a few deer pictured below.

Does he really think he is fooling anyone? I admit they are hard to see this time of year. But this buck had huge ears. They are just now starting to grow their horns.

Both girls did so good at their piano recital. I was so proud of them. They are such talented young girls.

Since Scott works nights and sleeps during the day, I figured i would keep the kids out so he could get a better days sleep. So right after the piano recital i took the kids to the Provo Kids Arts and crafts fair. Crew was such a trooper too since it ended up being a really long day.

I was a little worried because we didn't bring sunblock and Just found out MaKayla is Allergic to the sun but we pretty much kept to the shade.

Of course we just had to do the face stencil station. Crew wiped his off after 5 seconds. Good thing I only did a smiley face because he wiped it all over his eyes. He was so tired look at him trying to stay awake.

I think everyones favorite was making the head crowns. Even Crew wore his. I was shocked he didn't take it off.

8 months old and sat still for his whole haircut

Can you believe how much hair this kid has? He has a lot morethan most 8 mnth olds Ive seen. it was driving me nuts so i decided he needed at least around his ears trimmed. i was shocked! I sat him on the counter in a child seat with a cape and he sat still the hold time. I was able to do a full haircut on him.

He looked at himself in the mirror smiling the whole time!

the girls did inredible at there recital.It was a great show. And i swear those girls can talk anyone into coming. they had their 2nd and 3rd grade teachers there. I told them by the time they are in 6th grade the whole row will be just their teachers.

When we were out to eat for Mothers day, Crew was being hilarious. he would make hoohoo sounds then just laugh at himself. It went on forever. here is a video.

This news was so exciting it deserved a post of its own. I posted the ward talent show with Scott as a ballerina below so make sure you read and watch the video after this.

The girls elementary School held a writing contest. The winner would get to have lunch with Brad wilcox a published author, get an award at an assembly and have their story published for the Library. Both girls were so excited and entered. I was amazed at how good both their stories were. MaKayla's was about a trip to Disneyland and McKenzie's was about none other than Crew and all he does, eats, things she loves about him, hates about him (Such as throwing up on her and pulling her hair) Both girls did a great job but not both could win. McKenzie's story was very descriptive.

At the assembly she was awarded with the Gardner James Children's book award- which means her book will have a gold seal on it. I am so proud of her. She was so excited to get brad Wilcox autograph. he read one of his books at the assembly. Really cute books and super nice guy.

He came up to me at the end and told me McKenzie read her story to him at lunch and he was amazed at how good it was.

Ward talent show- A must see!

So we had the ward talent show tonight. And Scott was a balerina if you can believe it. I got a few guys to do a ballet number. Since I was part of the skit, i had MaKayla video it. Here are a few pictures and then watch the video below. it is hilarious. DONT FORGET TO TURN MY MUSIC OFF AT THE BOTTOM OF MY BLOG FIRST> Scott is in the pink tutu and pink fairy wings, wearing a mullet. I was worried these guys would not be able to learn it. We had an hour and a half practice and did good even with their stage fright!

McKenzie won an award today at school. She is now a published auther. more to come on that. When I get the pictures off my camera.

Happy Moms Day

I got fried at the yard sale yesterday as you will see in the pictures. Thank you to all who came and helped support us. We were able to pay a bill with it. Every little bit helps. I had enough stuff left for two other yard sales but promised Scott everything would go to DI after. So if your having a baby girl, go there you will find everything you need from my donation alone.lol.

I just wanted to wish all you moms out there a happy mothers day! Especially my mom. I would be no where with out the fabulous example she was and is to me throughout my life. thanks mom! I love you.

Since Scott slept most the day. ( He works nights) My moms day consisted of........um usual being a mom stuff and making myself a frozen dinner. lol. I did get breakfast brought to me when he got home and $14 ( I do not know where he came up with that # My guess is it is all he had in his wallet) so I guess were good. My cute girls made me ceramic pot holders that are darling and little wheel barrels they made at home depot. My dad gave me $10 to take myself out to dinner. Thanks Dad!

And Crew...well he gave me what he does every day. His cute little self.

Yard Sale to help pay hospital bills

well, I do not have Colon Cancer that is a relief. However, they cannot seem to find the cause which is worrisome. I am still getting sick every time I eat. I really hope I do not keel over dead. I still have more appoi9ntments to go to. i am getting very frustrated. This Dr. Says i am the only one he has seen this young with the problem. I found four other cases online. they were all taking hormone replacements or birth control. I take neither.
Anyway, To help pay the Hospital bills from Crew's RSV and all my stuff we are having a multi- family yard sale at my house this Saturday. I have a million baby girl stuff to age 9, bassinets, toys, Clothes galore, electronics, baby boy stuff. The kids clothes are brand new or an excellent condition. Update on Danielle & Kelsi's Birthday party

Thank you to everyone for your well wishes. I am feeling a little better thankfully since I have a wedding to photograph as well as an engagement session this weekend. I only have to not eat to feel o.k. To bad we need food to survive. I am anxiously awaiting tuesdays results as to what has caused my problem. I have researched causes some of which are blood clotting and colon cancer. that makes me nervous but we are praying for the best. At least I will lose weight. I am on liquid diet till Tues.
Kelsi's Party!
Thank heavens Kelsi's mom and my mom were at the party to help. I was so sick. I went to the Dr. Right after her party, then to the hospital later that night. So I have not had a chance to post about her party.

after lunch we had a scavenger hunt. Troy and Gabriella had a full day of activities planned the day of the prom. It was their job to make sure they got to the prom on time. The clues ultimately lead to the boat, bikes, Salon then to Troy's truck ( Which of course was Scott's).

at the end of the hunt was the Prom back pack filled with prizes. they paired up and did how they thought people danced at the prom. the winners picked a prize out of the pack first. they giggled the whole way through.

Since the High school musical characters are always seen jumping in the air, we had a jump rope contest.

We broke into two groups and had a little audition session. they each made uo a 1-2 minute cheer or dance to a high school musical song. The winning group won pom poms.

Danielle is out of hospital

for about a week Danielle has had extreme nausea, stomache pains and bleeding. After several hospital visits and one colonoscopy they told us she had 10 inches of ulcers on her colon and that for some reason blood supply has been cut off to that area. This has caused that area to be dead and she now has Ischemic Colitis. On May 5th we will find out results of blood work and hopefully find the cause to this problem. The Colon should repare itself.
Oh and the girls got braces today. more about that later.

Spring break day 3 & 4

Spring break day 4

We spent the only sumwhat nice day at the park. It was nice to get some fresh air, With all the sickness we have had at our house.

We had a picnic and the girls had a race. MaKayla won for sure, But McKenzie just got over being sick.

Crew loved the swings...And of course the girls loved them too.

The girls wanted me to do twisties with beads in their hair. And of course my point and shoot camera stinks.So we didnt get good pictures. My other camera at the time was still full of Dance pics..I cannot wait to get them off of there and use my camera again.

For spring break day 3...It was cold again, So we went grocery shopping ( Not fun at all), Then we redboxed it and rented high school Musical 3. The girls had seen it but I had not. it was cute! Then the girls decided it was time for make-overs. So they did their nails. I had to use our point & shoot camera which stinks. So sorry about the quality of these photos.

It has been a while hasn't it? I have been editing the dance team pics I took for days,Got them done though! Yeh! Spending nights at the hospital with Crew- Croop this time! I swear it never ends. Mckenzie is finally over her pnemonia though. Here is some of what we have been up to.
SPRING BREAK DAY 2
Is your spring break getting you blue? The Weather is awful! SO what do you do. you have a blue breakfast. The girls woke up from their sleepover to a note..is your spring break getting you blue? They loved it!

We took the girls to Chuck-E- Cheese. I hate their pizza so we went to Los hermonos for dinner. The last picture is Scott dying over their prices. We wont be going again. They have doubled in price. We are poor now we had no business going there.

Am I a Germ Carrier?

Does anyone else out there feel like they are destined to have sick kids all the time. I swear, I cannot get a break. First it is Crew having RSV for three months. My niece Kelsi has been home sick more times then I can count.( In fact she came home this morning from school). I think the school is sending me a letter saying she has missed an unacceptable amount of school this year. Some Gaurdian I am! McKenzie has not gone to school for a week. The Dr. Says it is viral, but I swear she is getting worse. I am taking her back in today.
What am I doing wrong? If anyone can answer that I would be forever greatful.
yes, i tell my kids to wash their hands after going to the bathroom ( if they always do it or not I am not sure). Yes, my house is clean (most days anyway), We take our vitamins, I lysol my house like every half hour it seems.
I am beginning to think that I am just a germ carrier. You better not get near me!

Easter egg hunt at Grandma's & Crew is funny

Turn my back for two seconds and this is what he finds. How embarrasing!!!!! At least he knows where it goes.
The other HILARIOUS THING is Crew has found his special part in the bath tub and thinks it is a squeezy toy. I tell him no and he just looks at me shy like and smiles...then goes back to playing with it again. Now every time I give him a bath he searches for it. OH NO I AM IN TROUBLE!

Every year we have an egg hunt at my moms house. Since my parents will be out of town that week, we had it this last past weekend.The kids look forword to it every year. Grandma, grandpa and uncle chad save their change and fill each egg with change and candy.

Family Vacation to St. George for girls Dance competition

Thursday
We got to St. george at about 4:00 the girls were so excited. We get into the room, there is screaming and huvering over Crew explaining the motel and how much fun he is going to have on his first vacation. Of course he didn't understand a word but sure smiled and giggled with them. Click on page to enlarge!!!

Thursday night when we got there, we decided to check out Pirate Island Pizza ( Thanks Shelley for the tip) It was a lot of fun. You walk in and the walls are painted like sky. Everything was pirate themed. I just found out that one is being built in OREM. We are excited. We loved it. the food was good and reasonably priced, the girls enjoyed the game room, and the whole theme of the resteraunt was awesome. Our waiter was even in character. Click page to enlarge

Friday

We woke up Friday morning, and were ready for fun! We headed over to Fiesta family fun. First we rode the Go-carts, then mini golfed and of course the girls had to go play in the arcade room. they came home with all kinds of prizes from the tickets they won. Click on pages to enlarge.

Since we could see the temple from th fun center, we decided to drive over there to take a better look. I was so surprised that there was not an Angel Moroni on top. I thought they all had one. oh well, it was beautiful. Click page to enlarge.

My dear friend from College- Kelsi and her family met up with us at Fiesta fun that night to play games and chat. Thanks Kelsi for coming to watch the girls perform too! It was so good to see them. The girls friend Jesslyn and my friend Shelley- her mom and their family came too. It was a fun get together.

I cannot believe how good the girls did that night on their Duo! They blew me away. No wonder they won first. They did awaesome on their dances Saturday for teams too.

Saturday

Scott really wanted to go to get a caramel apple- (another tradition of ours)at the Rocky Mountain Chocolate factory for his Birthday. The girls also had some money they wanted to spend so we headed to the factory outlet stores. Of course they had no caramel apples made.Poor Scott :( But MaKayla found rocks to add to her rock collection and both girls found great deals at the Childrens place.

It has become a tradition that after the team dances we all go back to the hotel and have a huge swim party. Since it was windy outside, the outdoor pool was out so everyone squezed into the tiny indoor pool. The girls all had fun, except Kenzie who wasn't feeling very well.. Click on page to enlarge.

After the swim party we all headed for Karens room to view all the dances and to celebrate Scotts birthday which was that night. he turned 35. What a way to spend your birthday- with a bunch of teenage girls singing to you. Karen's was the next day- Sunday so we celebrated with cupcakes.

Dance America spring fling competition results

We spent the last weekend at Competition. friday night the girls performed their duo then Saturday was their team dances. They did really good. next weekend we head to St. george for another competition.
The girls got a gold for their Duo.

The girls started out their dance great. then i think nerves got them since this is the first comp. of the year, because they didn't do as well as I have seen them do. But they did great.

On their Hip Hop they won Ist out of three teams

On their dance " New Girl" they got 1st place out of five teams.

Hard to believe it has been 12 years

Well, today is Scott & my 12th anniversary. I cannot believe it has been that long and that I am that old. lol. I just wanted to let Scott know how much I love him and appreciate all he does for our family. He is such a good father to my children. I am so lucky to have found a man that helps out around the house and puts up with me.

Now if I could only look like I did when we met 13 years ago, I would have it made.Happy anniversary Scott, I love you!

Draper Temple

We went to the Draper temple Open house today. It was so exciting to see the girls expressions as they went through each of the beautiful rooms, saying they can't wait to get married in one. It was a great family experience to share with the girls just how important it is to us that we can be together forever through the gospel. It was sooo windy and cold though. i could not get the girls to cooperate for pictures.

A couple weekends ago we went on a drive up to the Midway, Heber area. Scott wanted to go on a drive and I wanted some good photo opportunity's. We both got what we wanted. we saw all these Beautiful deer up by the Homestead, there were about 20 or more of them. I got so many wonderful shots here are a few.

I did my best to try and cover up his little areas, look how chubby he is. He had so much fun splashing in the tub! He absolutely loves the water.

Back to healthy habits

With Crew being so sick, the girls have all gotten into some bad snack habits when they get home from school. I knew I needed to get back in the good mother mode and show them some attention. I got them some good healthy snacks like I use to have waiting for them after school before Crew came along and wrote a Love note to them. They Loved it! They Ate it all almost all gone and didn't even ask where the cookies and chips were. I realized how bad I had been slacking. Now that crew is better......I'M Back!

Computers do not like me

Yet another computer my main one with all my pictures is Gone!!!!!!!!! it went black today and nothing works. My screen is black like it never even was turned on ( my monitor) I am sooooooooo upset every piece of my life was on their pictures, programs and more. i do not know wat I am going to do. I will have to find some cash to get it fixed. If I do not answer emails that is why. i temporarily plugged in my laptop.
I feel like sayin why me with all the ( four letter word inserted here) that has been going on with us lately. Sorry to complain I just had to get it out. I know my blessings out way the bad and others go through so much more I guess I am just exhausted from having a baby that has been sick for three months, constantly fighting with my husband, among the million other things going on. Hope you all still love me after this nasty post but if I did not let it out I think I will explode!
On a lighter note ( i know haha!) the girls auditioned for an LDS movie today and are very excited about it. There were tons of people there for the audition so they are not expecting the part but they love to try out.
